Mike Burwell earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University (MSU) in 1986. He is also a certified public accountant (CPA), which helps bring an extra dynamic of specialization to complement his other skill sets. Burnell received a Distinguished Alumni Award from MSU and announced a large money contribution on behalf of PwC’s US Operations sector, to MSU in 2010. This pledge by Burnell and PwC involved donating $500,000 over a five-year span to the Accounting and Information Systems department in the Eli Broad College of Business.
