Newsweek ranked Dr. Andrew Jacono third among facelift surgeons in America for 2025. Harper’s Bazaar counted him among the 24 best plastic surgeons in the country. The Most Compassionate Doctor Award came to him every single year from 2012 through 2022, an eleven-year streak that places him in a group fewer than 3% of physicians ever reach. Taken together, these distinctions describe a surgeon whose reputation crosses both clinical and humanitarian measures of performance.
The Foundation Beneath the Rankings
Dr. Andrew Jacono earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1996, completed his Otolaryngology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary as administrative chief resident, and finished a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. That training sequence prepared him for a career in which he would eventually develop the Minimal Access Deep-Plane Extended facelift, a technique that treats the skin, muscle, and fat as a unified structure and produces results lasting 12 to 15 years.
The results attracted attention from prominent figures. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs disclosed in 2021 that Dr. Andrew Jacono performed his facelift and praised the natural outcome. Plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif chose Jacono for his own deep-plane procedure. These endorsements reflect the kind of trust that peer recognition and patient outcomes build over time.
Service Beyond the Operating Room
Dr. Andrew Jacono has also contributed more than 750 surgeries to children with cleft lips, palates, and other facial deformities through organizations including Healing the Children. His work with domestic violence survivors through the FACE-TO-FACE program led to the television series Facing Trauma on the Oprah Winfrey Network. He holds academic positions at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and North Shore University Hospital and serves as Fellowship Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he trains specialists in both foundational and advanced techniques.
